The population data includes historical trends and projections provided by the State Office of Financial Management.&lt;br /&gt;Data has also been collected on building permits that were issued since the 1970's.  This data can reviewed to determine if there are any noticeable trends between population growth and development activity.&lt;br /&gt;The current land distribution data has also been tallied for the existing City and unincorporated UGA.  The unincorporated UGA does not include any of the property that was part of the 2005 UGA amendments.&lt;br /&gt;The above information is scheduled to be shared with the Planning Commission on April 27, 2010.  No recommendation or action is being requested at this time.&lt;br /&gt;The commission will also be introduced to some methodologies to determine developable and undevelopable properties. A call for applications will be published in the local newspaper on Saturday, October 31, 2009.  &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;The deadline for applications is December 1, 2009 5pm&lt;/span&gt;. Applications are available at the Development Services Department or can be downloaded by clicking on the link below.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.oakharbor.org/uploads/Comp%20Plan%20Amendment%20Packet%202010%20application.pdf"&gt;2010 Comprehensive Plan Amendment Application&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The process to amend the Comprehensive Plan has a different schedule this year.  The City will be processing amendments through a docket process.  All application received will be placed on a docket along with other mandatory requirements and discretionary items.  This preliminary docket will be reviewed by Planning Commission and the City Council through a public hearing process prior to approval.
